Disciplinary committee

The Athena Global School has a Discipline Committee responsible for maintaining discipline. This committee ensures that students follow the rules and maintain order and peace in the school community, aligning with the school’s educational objectives. The school’s discipline is considered a yardstick to measure its performance, and having a proper and systematic discipline policy is crucial to promoting a conducive learning atmosphere and fairness in disciplinary actions.

The committee also ensures the safety and security of the students by vigilantly monitoring their activities on campus and social media.

The committee comprises various members, including the Senior Principal, Principal, Vice Principal, Upper Secondary Coordinator, Pre-Primary Coordinator, School Counselor, and student representatives.

The committee has several functions, including serving as a role model for students, assisting students in adhering to school rules, promoting self-discipline, administering appropriate consequences for misconduct, and creating an environment conducive to the peaceful coexistence of staff and students from different grades and houses. The committee also administers consequences for any parent who commits an offence on school premises.

The committee meets on the third Saturday of every month, and meeting minutes are maintained in a register signed by all members in attendance. In conclusion, discipline is essential for students to have organisation and consistency in their lives, providing them with a structure not only in the classroom but also in their everyday lives and future. Every decision made by the Discipline Management Committee is acceptable to all children and teachers at the school.
