Health care

Athena has a fully operational school clinic staffed by qualified nurses, who remain on duty throughout the school day and after school during standard CCAs, athletics practices, and other special school events. The school clinic has separate beds for boys and girls. Necessary first aid medicines are stocked to cater the students needs. Regular physicians prescribed medicines are also administered to the students on verifying the prescriptions.

In the event that a student becomes too ill to participate in school lessons or activities, the school nurse will telephone the parents to pick the child up from school.

Parents are advised not to send their child to school if he/she is sick, as your child’s recovery will be slower, and other children and adults will be exposed. Students who are sent home sick will be readmitted to school only after they have been checked by the school nurse.
